This is really scary. I guess this would also force CBS to discontinue
airing "Touched by an Angel" because they use the word GOD in every
program.

Madeline Murray O'Hare, an athiest, successfully eliminated the use of
Bible reading and prayer from the schools fifteen years ago. Her
organization has now been granted a Federal hearing on the same subject
by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, DC.

Their petition number 2493 would ultimately pave the way to stop the
reading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the airwaves of America. They
took this petition, with 287,000 signatures, to back their stand.

If thsi attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being
broadcast either by radio or television will stop. This group is also
campaigning to remove all Christmas programs, Christmas songs and
Christmas carols from public schools.

YOU CAN HELP!!!

We need one million (1,000,000) signed letters. This would defeat their
effort and show that there are many Christians alive and well, and
concerned in OUR country.

Please print the attached letter and make as many copies as you can. Take
them to friends, your church, give to people in other churches, and also
forward this to everyone you know so that they can do the same. I am sure
they would duplicate and distribute to their church members. One thing is
very important: DO NOT SIGN JOINTLY OR AS A GROUP. Please have only one
person per letter and mail separately through "snail" mail. It's also
important to do this right away!

Please, do not take this lightly. We did once lose prayer in schools and
in offices across the nation. We cannot let this attempt succeed.
